Odyssey 2010 Calligraphy Conference is excited to offer a number of young adult scholarships to attend the
30th International Gathering of Lettering Artists.
The Dancing Letters Scholarship
in Memory of Ann Van Tassell
Is pleased to announce four scolarships awarded to:
Kathryn Cyr, Maine
Bailey Amon, Texas
Rebecca Farber, New York
Alisara Tareekes, California
With your financial help we will be able to increase the number of scholarships that we will be able to fund at future conferences.

Below is a general outline of our Dancing Letters Scholarship program as well as criteria for the applicants.
Scholarship assistance covers
- 30 hours of instruction in either one week-long class or two two-and-a half day classes.
- 7 nights dormitory accommodations in a shared room.
- All meals
- Class fees
- All evening programs and conference events.
- A supplies stipend of $100 to be redeemed at the two conference stores, Paper & Ink Arts and John Neal Bookseller.
- Transportation to and from the conference is NOT provided.
- This scholarship is granted based on financial need and merit.
ELIGIBILITY (for the 2010 Conference)
- Applicant must be 18 years or older by 7/01/10
- Applicant must be a student enrolled in an arts-related program
- Applicant must submit all required materials in triplicate in one package postmarked by February 01, 2010
DEADLINES (for the 2010 conference)
- Put all application materials in one package and postmark it no later than February 01, 2010
- Scholarship recipient will be notified by March 15, 2010
- Scholarship recipient must confirm his/her conference attendance commitment by April 15, 2010 so that class choice, registration and housing can be secured by the conference committee
The next international calligraphy conference is scheduled for 2012 - we plan to be offering this scholarship program again.
